Here at Tailwynd Kennels we are as selective at who we sell puppies to as the prospective puppy buyer should be about who they buy a puppy from. Reputable breeders put a lot of time, energy, and money into the testing of  the prospective parents of upcoming litters to ensure that the puppies produced have the highest chance of inheriting no genetic disorders. Please be aware of puppy mills and backyard breeders as they do nothing to promote the betterment of the breed, they are only interested in the betterment of their wallets. Often times reputable breeders get the line, " I can get a dog from the paper for half the cost of your puppy." With that their is usually no guarantee on health or genetics and in the long run the veterinary cost and heartbreak far exceed the expense of a puppy from any reputable breeder. If you are in doubt of the person you are dealing with you can always get a list of the recognized Code of Ethics Breeders from the Australian Cattle Dog Club of America at www.acdca.org .

Our puppy prices vary depending on if the puppy is a show quality puppy (full registration) or if it is a pet quality puppy (limited registration).  The first question most people ask is what is the difference between limited and full registration.  With a full registration puppy, the puppy is deemed to be of show quality and eligible for AKC conformation shows as well as AKC performance events such as obedience, agility, and rally.  A limited registration puppy is eligible for and AKC performance event such as obedience, agility, and rally but is sold with a spay or neuter contract meaning the pup will be spayed or neutered before it reaches one year of age.  Price for a full registration puppy is $1250-$1500 and limited registration puppies are $900.  If you have any further questions about the pricing or registration of any of our puppies please do not hesitate to contact us at ugdawg@bellsouth.net.
