The Australian Cattle Dog is among the most hearty, versatile and intellegent breeds. They are hard workers and many are working on farms throughout the world. They need to run, chase, herd and play with their owners. They are very obedient and also very independent.

Here at Tailwynd Cattle Dogs, we are a member in good standing of the Australian Cattle Dog Club of America.  We are a Code of Ethics Breeder, which means we genetically test all our dogs before we breed.  We stand 100 % behind what we breed and offer a health gurantee.  In addition, if our buyers feel at any time that they no longer want their dog/puppy, we will gladly take the puppy back into our home. We never refuse one of our dogs back into our home. 

We started in Cattle Dogs in the 1990's after years in the Labrador Retriever circle. Although there will always be a love for the Retrievers, our hearts and souls have been captured by this breed. We strongly urge you to research the ACD before committing to this breed. Its a lifetime committment that your dog will take seriously even if you don't. We also participate in ACD rescue, please keep the option of adopting a beautiful rescue cow kid when you are considering this breed.
